The KEROXin
Advantage |
In one phrase "Tight Chemistries that Work".
Manufacture of composites involves a concoction of raw
materials - resins, catalyst, accelerators, mold releases
and glass fiber. The resin:catalyst:accelerator ratio
always poses a technical challenge, since they are sourced
from disparate manufacturers. Often when the resin
fails to gel, or reach its peak strength, it is complex to
pin-point the problem raw material. Is it the resin,
or the catalyst, or the accelerator, or all? What
about the time and money to debug to the problem and to
compensate for the loss in product?
Today's customer demands a solution that works. KEROX
offers all three of the key raw materials - KEROXin resins,
ME-50 MEKP catalyst, and
C-20 accelerator under one brand name
and GUARANTEES a gel time, peak exotherm, repeatable
strength of materials properties and quality of the resin,
leading to a value proposition of money in your composites
manufacturing.

KEROXin Range |
KEROXin is available in two
ranges:
UPR - Unsaturated Polyester Resins
These resins are the backbone of the composites industry.
They bind the fiber reinforcement together to form the
composite matrix.
UPR's are liquids at room temperature and the addition of
ME-50 and C-20
causes polymerization, through cross linking at the
unsaturated sites in the linear polymer.
KEROXin UPR's are available in
several ranges,
each with a specialized chemistry. We have KEROXin UPR
products for general purpose usage (Hand Lay-up, Spray
Lay-up) and specialized technologies (SMC, DMC/BMC,
Pultrusion, Filament Winding).
SPR - Saturated Polyester Resins
These resins have no unsaturation sites in them.
Current KEROXin SPR's in the product range consist of a
variety of polyols, with very low acid value and very high
hydroxyl content. They have been specially designed
for use in polyurethane systems - rigid/semi-rigid/flexible
foams and elastomers. |
